Fun-Loving Actors Wanted!
Summer Jobs at Lake Okoboji, IA!

Treasure Village Children's Theatre and Mini Golf at Lake Okoboji, IA will hold auditions for actors for summer 2010 beginning in March. We employ 4-5 full-time and 5-10 part-time actors for our 3 children's theatre shows, seen by thousands of summer visitors to the gorgeous Lake Okoboji area. We look for actors who are able to do improvisation, comedy, and have good physical skills.
 

Auditions will be Sunday,
March 14, 2010
2 p.m.

Please bring:
1.  Completed application
2.  3 letters of reference
3.  Your summer calendar
4.  Willingness to have fun and improvise.

If you are auditioning for Cinderella, please also have 2 songs prepared to sing
a cappella or with a CD.  The songs should be in contrasting styles.

 * Individuals must show commitment and a good work ethic as it is a demanding theatre schedule with performances in the morning, rehearsals in the evening, and the afternoons filled with rehearsal prep, road shows, or working hours in the golf, costume, or technical areas.  But you get to live, eat and breathe THEATRE!

 * Salary range for full-time employment is $1400-2500.  Actors sign a contractual agreement for the summer.

 * College credit and internships are possible; please contact Creative Director Deborah Clark.

 * Housing is available for very low cost onsite.

 * We are family-owned and family-oriented.  We sponsor fun events for our staff, and work to ensure our staff has opportunities to enjoy the Lake Okoboji area.

Interested in Costume or Technical Hours?

Scenic Construction

* Looking for knowledgeable individual in set construction and painting.  You would be an Assistant to the Technical Director but be given a great deal of input and freedom to design set pieces and props.
* Must be able to think outside the box.  Construction skills are necessary but creativity is a must!
* Position would be full-time with an option to be part-time with acting role(s).
* Can also design and implement lighting for 3 shows if desired.
* Hours will range from 60-150+ hours for the summer.  Salary is based on project experience and artistry and whether the position is combined with acting roles.

Costume Design
and/or Seamstress

* Looking for individual with sewing proficiency as we prepare over 25+ costumes for the 3 shows.

* This position is usually combined with an acting role(s), but could be optional.

* Hours will range from 25-60 hours.
